I started laying it on pretty thick that we don't have a swing set or a fence yet. So, the construction starts! Ben had to rent a Bobcat to move rocks and take out some small trees. When he rented it we both thought he would have the job done in "no time". My neighbor warned us that it would not be an easy task. But, we blew it off.

Ben spent HOURS being thrown around. There were so many rocks in the ground. We will never get it smooth. We will remove what we can and then buy a crazy amount of mulch to make sure the play area is safe. Here are a few of the smaller rocks he moved.

There were HUGE rocks he got out also. Here is an example of one. I had my girls and a few neighbor kids pose around and on top of it so you could see how huge it is. (The girls had their squirt bottles in hand all day.....they were just
DYING from the heat. Oh my...this may be a long summer!)

Jonah was sitting on the edge of the deck all day watching Daddy. He LOVED it! It was so exciting for him to have a tractor in his back yard! (Yes, I am aware that he looks like a little redneck baby in his camouflage onsie, tennis shoes with no socks, and his binky. He slept in that, minus the shoes, and we had not put on his clothes for the day.)
Ben is out there with a post hole digger now. So excited about what is to come!!!!!

I don't understand, your husband was able to rent a big boy toy & it still took him that long to start the fence??? All you have to do is say tractor & my husband's there ;-)
Glad to hear progress is being made. Maybe you can have one of those misting things installed along with the swings for the girls...
I showed Allyn your post. After his jealously subsided he said, 'They definitely aren't in Illinois anymore!'
